The Chess-in-the-Schools Queens Day Tournament took place on Saturday December 14, 2019 at P.S. 150Q in Sunnyside. A total of 419 students competed in 7 sections, including 9 members of the Q300 Chess Team. We had several notable performances – Tyler Horiuchi (grade 5) and Andy Jiang (grade 6) tied for 2nd place in the Open section, and brought home the first place team award. Also congratulations to Henry Leopando (grade 3) – a perfect 4-0 score and a tie for first in the K-5 Under 600 section. See the full cross table here.
